Rules of conduct on board the M / S Birger Jarl
Smoking - is only allowed on the dock, outside Cocktail bar and Sky bar. Contravention will be prosecuted by 2 000 sek.
Alcohol –  Corkage may only be consumed in your cabin. See the opening times of our bars during Features 
Environment - You can drink the water in the taps but we ask you save water to protect the environment.
Toilets – Please flush ONLY toilet paper in the toilets. If stop in your toilet it will affect the whole boat 
Noise level - Show respect and consideration for other guests on board.
Visitors - are welcome on board but only until 22:00
Pets – Pets are not allowed onboard. 
Fire safety - Please take note of the fire regulations which are posted in the hallways.
Complaints - If you have any complaints, please contact the front desk immediately so we can fix any mistakes.
Damages - Any damage or problems in the cabin must be reported to the reception.

Provider’s Obligations

  • The Provider is responsible for managing the M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel in accordance with local or national laws including those regarding health and safety and insurance.
  • The Provider will use its best efforts to keep all rented premises in good order. Regardless of this, should a problem present itself during your stay, please report it to the Provider immediately, and it will be dealt with as soon as possible.
  • The Provider will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety of the Customer and persons staying with or visiting the Customer during the stay but will not under any circumstances accept responsibility for any direct or indirect costs, losses, or damages including medical costs, incurred by you, your guests, or persons staying with you in the cabin.
  • The Provider will not accept responsibility for any technical problem, failure or interruption of services, power or water outage, nor for any disturbance caused by noise from nearby localities or from outside. However, the Provider will, after being informed of the problem, try to resolve it within a reasonable period of time. If this turns out not to be possible and the problem continues to severely affect your stay, M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel will assist you in finding an alternative accommodation, subject to the availability of such. In the event that no alternative accommodation can be arranged for, the Customer may cancel his reservation and receive a refund for the period that the Apartment has not been used.

Lost Keys

Please, keep the keys from the cabin in a safe place. In the unfortunate event that you lose the keys you will be required to pay an administration fee of 100 SEK.

Right of Entry

M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel reserve the right to enter the cabin at any reasonable time for reasonable cause. This includes the need to undertake unforeseen (internal and external) remedial repairs. M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel will give you reasonable notice of such requirements and will do our best to restrict the hours of access from 9 am-5 pm wherever reasonably possible.

Cleaning

The cleaning is provided everyday and fresh linen, toilet paper and towels are provided. If the cabin is not properly cleaned when you arrive, please contact the Frontdesk immediately. You are not required to clean the cabin before checkout, but you have to leave it in an orderly state. In case of failure to comply with the above rule, additional cleaning fees may be imposed.

Privacy Policy

M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel treat Customers personal information with utmost respect and confidentiality and will ensure, within the limits set by law, that your personal information is securely kept. Your personal information will never be provided to any third party for marketing or promotional use.

Force Majeure

M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel will not accept liability or pay compensation for any loss, damage or expense suffered as a result of our or our suppliers inability to provide a service on account of war, threat of war, riots, civil disobedience or strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or industrial disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, closure of airports or ports or any unforeseeable or unavoidable event beyond its control.

Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel in the full amount for all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, expenses, losses, refunds, fines, costs (including legal costs) and all other sums of whatever nature incurred or suffered as a result of any breach of this Agreement or other unlawful or negligent conduct in relation to it by the Customer, persons staying with him or by his guests. If the reservation is made in the name of, or on behalf of a business or a business employee, that business shall be obliged to indemnify M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel. This indemnity provision shall survive and remain in full force and effect after the termination of the stay.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the cabin, the cleaning of the cabin or the cabin surroundings you should notify the Frontdesk directly if you feel your problem might warrant a refund. M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel will not issue a refund for any portion of your stay if you do not reach an agreement with the Frontdesk staff before you check out of the cabin. All disputes between M/S Birger Jarl Hotel & Hostel and the Customer arising from the above terms and conditions shall be settled in accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce by one arbitrator appointed in accordance with those Rules.

Applicable Law

This Agreement shall be construed under Swedish Law
